I enjoy this. It took me a bit to see the gaps in the walls, and took some time to get to the cube. Haven't figured out yet what is done with it.
At the entrance, just after you walk out of the elevator, there is enough of a gap between the walls and the elevator to see out into nothingness above the elevator.

so i just got your maze. fun 
After futzing around with the cube for a while, the phone rang and so i decided to start the level over. i shot down the camera near the start, used that to climb onto, and rapidly finished the level.
personally i don't think you should take out that solution because most people will not notice the camera in time for it to be helpful.
