[SP] Reversion

[SP] Reversion

Note: Download now links to the Steam Workshop version.
Reversion has two chambers, the first is easy/medium difficulty and the second is medium/hard. Both maps revolve around aerial tractors. If you find any cheats/bugs or simply have a comment to make feel free to give me an email. The latest version fixes some cheats and substantially reworks the first chamber.

I would say that they are both easy. I didn't use the button that switches the wall faith plate in the second room nor do I know how you would use it. Also, there is no auto save after you complete the first room so if you die in the second it starts from the beginning.

Great map! I liked it a lot, although they are both easy/medium. And I did use the faith plate in the second chamber after I tried for fun if I can get the ball to do a continuous jump :)

Hey dude,

I love Portal and want to collect some gameplays (first blind run), speedruns and bug reports.
My records should help you to understand how the player thinks.
Well, I hope I can support you with my uploads to fix any bugs and make new awesome maps.

Here are yours!

speedrun |

Nice little map...
As I've seen the little platform at the end, I occured that it's not the intended way to jump over the acid! ^^
The "speedrun" isn't the best, but it shows the big bug to solve the map without complex tricks and glitches. I don't want to get more so.

THX for mapping...

Keep it up!

I have fixed the issues raised by BlumCoLe and included an autosave.

I am however curious as to the method used by benvent, how did you get around using the wall faith plate?

Ok, two big problems I have. Firstly, the goo on the first chamber is punishing, the player shouldn't ever have to jump in the goo to restart, there should be a quick way to recover, preferably with portals. Secondly, there's a really short timing window in the second chamber, less than a second to place the two portals while the ball is in the air. It's just annoying to screw it up and be forced to do it again, how about a light bridge with a block so that there is more time to set up those portals?

To solve the second room without the wall faithplate I rode the funnel from the first half of the room. left the cube in the funnel and jumped onto the faithplate. Put the cube on the button to switch funnels and walked to the exit.

I'm playing custom maps and record my first time of playing them. So the run is not perfect and may not use only intended ways, but maybe it can let you see how other people may understand the map or you could just enjoy someone playing this map for entertainment.
Anyways, here is the recording:

Thanks for fixing bugs ...but there are any places which still have these bugs.

Whatever...

Here's another (new) speedrun! Not perfect, but I hope you enjoy. :)

:P ...new speedrun! :D

I think, the update is a step backwards... :(
First button and funnel doesn't make sense now and in Part 2 there is a graphic bug (beside the rotative platform with catapult) ...you can see it a very short moment in the speedrun

I'm more than sure I didn't do the second chamber your intended way as I didn't even use the wall faith plate, so I'm posting this as a cheat that you might want to fix.

I bought some batteries, but they weren't included

I did it again, but this time the solution seemed very intended, however I still didn't use the wall faith plate or the portal panel directly across from it. Is this the intended solution? Maybe I have an old version that you've fixed?
