Irc Tutorial

Well I see our communiy is getting into IRC so I thought I could give a Tutorial on how to get in it for peope that don't use IRC.

I would prefer the Downloadable IRC client becase it saves your information so you don't have to type your Nickname in every time you log in.

This is the Web base IRC:
http://chat.efnet.org/

Goto that site, put ur name in were it says Nickname.

Click Login.

Look at the botom, that is where you send messages, now type in
/join #thinkingwithportals

It ill connect you to the IRC channel.


Now for the IRC client that you download:

First Install IRC.
Open it up then goto Tools>Options.

Go to Connect.
The name and email address is optional.
Fill out your Nickname and Alternative if your first one is in use.

Go to the Servers.
Put IRC Network on all.
Look for Efnet (you can chooe which location you want to connect to, they all lead you to the same spot)

Press Ok.

Then you can now connect (you can either click the lighning bolt under file or click File Connect.

Once you Connected, Type /join #thinkingwithportals
