Not unless Hober wants to whip up a Contest Megafile like he did for October and November. _________________

It would be massive considering Riven's entry. _________________

I have already played them all a few times though...I swear I have a life, just not today. |

As long as Shmitz didn't bollocks it all up with his sounds or whatever, I might be able to throw one together.
It won't be easy, though. This has been a record turnout for these contests. _________________

It doesn't work for me. The vcd files are still missing, despite they are extracted to ...\scenes\snark_portal_riven\ |

Hmm, did you paste them under the correct "Portal" folder? There are two of them...
It looks as though my map is getting mixed results on different people's machines. If it indeed will not work for you no matter what, feel free to pass it up and not consider it for voting. I am working on a more complete version of the map that will include a neat little credits ending, a commentary mode that you will be able to activate via console (with commentary nodes floating about), and have working autosaves too! This version I consider the "competiton bare-bones version." Sorry if this version doesn't work for the competiton. |

The map works fine for me Riven. I look forward to seeing how the map progresses from here, as it has true potential for being a great map.
I suggest that in future versions of your map, you experiment with using 4-bit wav files, as the quality is not that much worse, and they have the advantage of being 4 times smaller, which will help silence any "it's too big" complaints.
I'll save my other comments for this map, and the others, until voting is available, but I would like to say congratulations to all who entered. It's not easy making a map in a month, but the standard of some of these maps was very high. |

| I dont know If I should be posting this yet or if this is the place to post this, but I can not seem to progress in Riven's map. I start in the room and there seems to be no way out. I have searched high and low and not found a way out. I am assuming that a portal should form on the wall in front of me but it never does. Do I have to do something in order to get the portal to form? |

This means that the VCDs are not in the correct folder. If you pasted the "Portal" folder into the "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<your username>\portal\" folder, then it should work. NOT: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<your username>\portal\portal\ folder" Notice that there are two portal folders. You must paste it into the first folder, not the second. Maybe that may fix a few problems. But make sure once they are in there, You MUST RESTART Portal in order for them to be recognized. |
