to make a map you need: (in order)
A clue :p
A PC
A Steam account
A a legal copy of portal
Then:
Download the SDK in the tools tab of steam
Select Orange Box
Select Portal
Double click Hammer
Then you can make maps.
No one here will spoon feed you though, its best to look though http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SDK_Docs
and use the search button like mad _________________ Fancy making a payload map?

TBH, 360 Orange Boxers kinda get the short end of the Portal stick. I suppose it's theoretically feasible to distribute the content over XBLA, but I would imagine the logistics would prevent such. Microsoft 'n' stuff. _________________

Yeah I've tried ways of distributing custom content using hacked versions of the Xbox and hard drive content tomfoolery, but to no avail. _________________
