Re: Recommendation: "The Great Glass Elevator"

Hope you give it a try. And - if you have time for a slightly wilder map by the same guy, you may want to try "Hard Eight" at http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=75235455 There are a few gems hidden in the thousands of Community maps - LOL. But still, I haven't found any ...

Re: How to Load Previous Maps ?

Yes - I am updating my post in response to your post below . . . I think all is working normally now - but "normal" includes NO "Save Game" option for Community, queued maps. And of course - no "Load Game" option either. So all of this is a combination of my own stupidi...

Recommendation: "The Great Glass Elevator"

I did not see "The Great Glass Elevator" (by Bad Horse) posted to TWP, and did a Search but did not find it. Then again the TWP search function does not work well. So I want to recommend it. I just happened upon it while perusing the Community offerings on Steam, and it was a blast. Medium...

Re: How to Load Previous Maps ?

Thanks for the offer. I cleaned out the Save folder except for the folder that Steam created for my Saves, which is: 76561198041006012 Then I did a couple of Quick Saves (F6) ans also a couple of manual Saves (Escape / Save Game . .). The result is this: 1.jpg I did notice 3 files are created during...

Re: How to Load Previous Maps ?

I thought this was the Portal 2 forum ?
Oh well, I think I will have to try and reinstall Steam / Portal 2 from scratch.

Re: How to Load Previous Maps ?

Nope - not working. What is happening ?? The F6 Quick Save and the F7 load work fine . . . but when I select "Save Game" I always see this: 1.jpg So I go ahead and Save the game, and then when I try to Load the Game I see this: 2.jpg If I use F7 to load the game, then walk around to a diff...

Re: How to Load Previous Maps ?

I waited a year to ask - hehe.
Thanks - that worked. Seems odd that you have to go all the way back to find saved games . . but OK.
I am just glad to know how.

How to Load Previous Maps ?

This has probably been asked already, but I cannot load previous Saves - just the last one. With the DLC update of Portal 2 - when I try to load a previously Save, the menu only shows "Load last Save". Before the update, you would see a list of your Saves and you could select any one of th...

Re: [SP] Dilapidation: Part 0

Yes, well as far as the difficulty factor, these are really just fine and I would much rather play these than the super-hard ones. These maps do really make you think, but are solvable if you take your time. Personally my favorite "hardness" is about halfway between regular maps and the Jo...

Re: [SP] Dilapidation: Part 0

So now we get to see how it all started. I thought Chamber 2 was the best of this bunch. This entire series is excellent. You know, you did not state that any of these maps are "Hard" and in that way more players can complete them - so I see why you might not want to make them hard. But I ...

Re: A few ideas - can they be done ??

OIC - I had been curious for quite a while. Although I mastered a few programming languages and a lot of apps, Hammer takes a lot of time and patience. It is exciting though, to see an idea come to life. If I get back into it I will just create a standard puzzle map and try to add something unique b...

A few ideas - can they be done ??

I was thinking out-of-the-Box. I had made one sucky map in Hammer that never made it to WIP status. You see, I had wild plans for my first map to make a fun-only, non-puzzle map. Sadly, those plans caused me to get hopelessly STUCK. I ended up with a sloppy - messy - unworkable map. So I simply must...

Re: [SP] Dilapidation: Part 5

Great - I love this series. Excellent environments with medium difficulty and parts that make you stop and think for a while. 4.5 out of 5 For this one I recorded my 2nd run-through. The part that took me a while was the timed flipper surface - just didn't see the trick to it at first. And - off in ...

Re: [PTI] Sidetrack

I spent a lot of time on this. Finally had to watch the solution Video. My response is the same as josepezdj - that's not quite right the way the solution works. There is no way to get that kind of propulsion to get back to the main area from a fall into an angled surface. It is one of those "f...

Re: [SP] [SP, and coop] WibiData Project

Unfortunately, TopHATTwaffle - you (or someone on your team) did not convert Decimal to Binary and XOR properly. That was frustrating after working so hard to get through the 5 levels and waiting for that final "ahaa" moment. Lpfreaky90 had the same or similar problem. The numbers I was gi...
