It ís. I mean, what's the use of such a powerfull engine if you need to sneak into NASA's to play any game based on it? No, Source is just great. _________________

Wow, that's pretty cool. But those are very huge particle systems. If my computer won't draw the ripple effect inside an unlinked portal or make the toxic water have reflectance (no matter how high I max out the graphics settings ), there's no way it could draw those! And besides, you can see a black gap between the portals. No wonder it was beta.
Using that particle system, the infinite portal looks even more infinite |

all those problems mean you have a dx8 graphics card. _________________ I don't lag, I own so much it takes a few seconds for the server to figure out what the hell I just did. |

Buy a video card that is less than 3 years old. _________________

Appearantly, according to a post in that thread, those particle systems have even less particles than the old ones. So it should work, though it might look messy. _________________

No, as far as I can remember, I have a DX9 card. And if it was DX8, maxing the settings would make ultra graphics lag. I don't have ultra graphics lag when setting are maxed. (Although, every time I restart the game, Portal Render Depth is always reset to 1, but the other settings I've changed are the same.)
And I have 1 GB of ram. |

| I don't like it at all. The standard portals are fantastic. |

although it all looks very neat, I prefer the old portals. The old portals look like a better product of the Portal Gun. I mean, these look very unstable to go trough. _________________ Be advised that any noticable taste of blood isn't part of any test protocol.
