Okay, I want my next map to be more quality map, so I made env_cubemaps near reflective textures and in center of big areas. If I have understood right, cubemaps are those thinks that make metal wall and -floor reflect, like in original game. But, the problem is that:

I saved my .vmf to folder named *foldername*. Then I compiled map in hdr-mode and used these commands in console:

buildcubemaps
mat_hdr_level 0 (or 2 if you were already at 0)
buildcubemaps
mat_hdr_level 2 (or 0 if you started at 0)

And Voilą, it worked and my textures started to reflect.
Then I closed portal. But when I put that bsp into maps folder and run it with console, cubemaps are not effective anymore, texture are non-reflective. And I didn't change the name of bsp, actually I didn't do anything to it after cubemaps building, only copied it to maps folder.
I have tried million times for nothing.

Is there something that I did wrong, or must I do something more?
And is the .ain file effective with cubemaps, or what it even do? Need I pack something with pakrat?

Could somebody tell me step by step, how to make texture reflect, or what I did wrong.

My map doesn't come out, if I can't finish it..

I have never encountered this problem. However, I always worked in my maps folder and never put the map anywhere else. Maybe the change of path does wrong things too, apart from changing the bsp name (what you didn't do).
